A general helical carbide insert jointer with an 8” width. The jointer can run through plastics as well as hard and difficult woods like figured maple, burls, and ebony. The helical knives ensure that even woods like birdseye can be jointed without tearout. The most sensitive pieces, like bearclaw spruce, are thicknessed with a face mill in the Fadal to leave a shiny planed surface without tearout.
